In this video I try to make the case for EU withdrawal on behalf of the moderate majority. The out of touch political elite may label those who seek an exit as crazies, crackpots and right-wingers; but the case for withdrawal has never been stronger. Dare we say that you’d have to be pretty crazy to want to stay in?
The argument is not an anti-European one, it is an anti-EU one, and these are fundamentally different things. Europe is a rich tapestry of difference cultures, languages, histories, landscapes, architecture and cuisines. It is a great place, and it is those differences that define it, and we should fight to preserve a Europe of strong, independent nation states that can work together for common objectives where it makes sense (trade), but without the need for political union orchestrated by an anti-democratic bureaucracy, very much the pet project of aloof and arrogant career politicians.
Don’t let the political elite hijack this debate and belittle you with their name calling and simplistic labels. It is time the moderates made the case for withdrawal and brought the debate back to the issues.
